Bi-Weekly Pinball League
League Structure Overview
The Fizzy’s Silver Orb League (SOL) is a bi-weekly pinball league run as a series of six IFPA-sanctioned tournaments over a 12-week season.
Each league night is a standalone tournament, with players earning Season Points based on their finishing position.
The top players after six tournaments qualify for a Season Finals Championship Night.
Players do not need to attend every event to qualify, but attending more events increases their chance of making the Finals.
Schedule
- League runs every other Friday at 8:00 PM
- Six (6) regular-season tournaments
- One (1) Season Finals event
Format
Each league night consists of five rounds of group match play in 3- or 4-player groups.
In 4-player groups, players are scored 7–5–3–1 per round based on finishing position.
In 3-player groups, players are scored 7–4–1 per round.
Groups are assigned each round using a balanced match-play pairing system.
Final standings for the night are determined by total points across all five rounds, with ties broken by head-to-head results or a one-game tiebreaker if necessary.
Season Points (For League Standings)
After each event, players earn Season Points based on their finishing position:
| Finish | Season Points |
|---|---|
| 1st | 100 |
| 2nd | 95 |
| 3rd | 90 |
| 4th | 85 |
| 5th | 80 |
| etc. | Decreasing by 5 |

Only each player’s best 4 results out of 6 are counted toward Finals qualification, allowing for missed weeks.
